AB From Pocket shared with you:
He doesn’t really mean to be dead at 75, just that he will no longer take any measures to extend his life: cancer screening, blood tests, flu shots, etc. As he puts it, he’ll accept only palliative care, not curative.

He is ignoring conditions that don’t kill you, but cause chronic pain, and not accounting for injuries like broken bones (probably because he’s such a vibrant and healthy 57-yr-old) but overall he makes some valid points.

It’s a completely different view when looking at the issue of death without the prejudice of “longer is better”, evolutionary imperative of staying alive at any cost.
