Lofty Ambitions for Cross-Laminated Timber Panels – NYTimes.com

Living in wooden buildings just feels better. Plus, it would allow us

  1. Cross laminated timber is a multiply and completely solid material made from wood, a modern building material, a solid prefabricated element made from wood that insulates heat and can simultaneously carry loads. It lends itself to offsite construction, less waste and a shorter build programme. It offers accuracy and long spans and, aesthetically, timber will improve the look and feel of a building. Pretty neat.
